Tips for Buying your New Home:

Finding and purchasing a home that will meet your needs now and in the years to come is a significant and often stressful time. Team Acquisto makes it our priority to make this transition as smooth as possible.  Here are some tips that you may follow to make the search of finding your dream home seamless:

Step 1: Select a Full Time Experienced Realtor to help you with your needs.  You should complete a buyers representative agreement with TeamAcquisto,  This form outlines the working relationship between the client and the Broker.  This form can be downloaded blank here, or can be completed by Team Acquisto and emailed for digital signatures.

Step 2: Complete the buyers survey.  This document helps document all the various wants/desires of the home buyer.  They include, where do you want to live, do you want to be close to schools, shopping, work, what style of home do you like or need, how large a house, do you want a pool, how much house can you afford, along with a whole host of other questions.  By completing this form with all the buyers you will start to identify all the important items in your next home.

Step 3: Saved Search.  Team Acquisto will compile a customized saved search based upon your feed back in the buyers survey.  This search will send you out only homes that meet your wants and needs.  Please comment on each home you receive.  Your feedback will help Team Acquistobetter refine your search with each comment.

Step 4: Get Pre-Approved.  Financing is the most important part of the home buying process. You should sit down and consult with a mortgage lender to determine how much of a house you can really afford. At Acquisto Realtors, we have a preferred lender relationship with Amy Gasperini whom  can assist you with all of your financing needs as well as long term financial planning. Doing this immediately will ensure your credit is sufficient with no surprises and will get you on the road to searching and finding your new home.  Some sellers in our market are requiring a pre-approval letter to view their home.  As a result we are requiring that we have your pre-approval letter in our file prior to going to scheduling to view homes.  Please forward your pre-approval letter from your lender to Closing@AcquistoRealtors.com

Step 5: Face to Face Meeting.  When steps 1-4 have been completed a face to face meeting is next.  For individuals who are in DFW Team Acquistolikes to get out of the office and meet for coffee and introduce ourselves to you within the first 7 days of starting the process.  The reason for wanting to meet so quickly is to reinforce all the items discussed during initial phone call, and allow everyone to get on the same page.  If you are out of town Team Acquisto encourages you to watch the videos posted in video agent and confirm that you are comfortable with your agent selection moving forward.

Best Practices for Home Buyers:

• You’ll need to have cash for a down payment, closing costs and moving expenses that are documentable.  Discuss how you need to document these funds.
• Your lender will need many items from you.  Please ask your lender for a complete list of all the items and get them turned in ASAP.  Confirm they are received and follow up often with any new documents requested.
• don’t incur any additional debt, apply for any new credit, or reduce your available credit limits.
• Don’t make any major purchases on credit, buy the furniture or car after closing.
